As it grows and matures, the Chambered Nautilus builds new rooms for itself, each one larger and wider than the last. A lifeline connects one chamber to the next, so previous rooms are left behind but not forgotten.

As we mature we often outgrow our old existence and stories that have limited us. These stories have also served to shape us, and when properly understood can be used to enhance our present and future.

The Chambered Nautilus symbolizes The Counseling Center's mission to help our clients grow intellectually, personally and spiritually. Founded in 1971 by an interfaith group, The Counseling Center today is a non-sectarian, non-profit community resource with offices in Bronxville, Scarsdale, Pelham and New York City.
